JUNE 15: ARRIVAL IN LIMA

Upon arrival in Lima, transfer to your hotel in Miraflores, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Rest of the day at leisure.

JUNE 16: LIMA CITY TOUR - COOKING CLASS

Today after breakfast we head to the Historic Center of Lima, a walk through the heart of the city. In this tour, you'll admire the Plaza Mayor, surrounded by the majestic Lima Cathedral and the Government Palace. Stroll through its colonial streets, discover the secrets of the San Francisco Convent with its famous catacombs, and enjoy the unique atmosphere that emanates from its historic buildings and vibrant urban life.

Next, get ready to explore the incredible flavors of Peruvian cuisine with our cooking classes, which blends tradition with innovation, guiding you through the creation of delicious dishes using the freshest typical  ingredients. This is a wonderful chance to not only savor amazing food, learn cooking techniques but also get familiar with a very important element of Peruvian culture.

JUNE 17: PUERTO MALDONADO JUNGLE TRIP “CAIMÁN COCHA”

Morning flight to Puerto Maldonado, Peru ́s Capital City of Biodiversity, upon arrival we will welcome you at the airport. Then, we will start our program with a visit around the city, on a bus.

Afterwards, we will go to Puerto Capitanía, to board a motorized riverboat, and we'll navigate on the Madre de Dios River. During the journey, we will submerge into a fascinating natural environment. If we are lucky, we will witness Ronsocos, Caimans,Turtles, Herons, Cormorants and other animal species in their natural environment.

Arriving at the Eco Amazonia Lodge, we will enjoy an exquisite welcome drink, we ́ll get settled in our bungalows and will have lunch together.

CAIMÁN COCHA

Once satisfied, you will be conducted by our specialized tour guide through an interpretive trail conveniently signposted to the Caimán Cocha, a small lake with an abundant presence of specimens of Black Caiman (Melanosuchus Niger) and Caiman (Caiman Crocodilus).

At the end of the evening, you will witness the spectacular sunset in the Amazon, an experience full of intensities overwhelming color ranges.

Upon returning to the lodge, a delicious dinner will await you, and enjoy free time to share unforgettable moments at the bar, equipped with an excellent game room and all the drinks you can imagine.

JUNE 18: JUNGLE TRIP “APU VICTOR & MONKEY ISLAND”

The morning begins with the sound of beautiful birdsongs from the Amazon Paradise.A hearty breakfast will provide the energy for a morning full of new experiences.

LAKE APU VICTOR

After breakfast, we'll start to hike towards the depths of the forest, on trails especially prepared, with bridges to cross gorges and rivers.During the journey we will observe the flooded forest and a variety of flora and wildlife, and continuing we'll get to the majestic Lake Apu Victor with its crystal clear waters, surrounded by marshes and giant trees.

Afterwards, we'll go up to the Observation Deck, from which we ́ll enjoy a panoramic view on the lake, observing parrots, macaws, toucans, camungos, shanshos, herons and other animals, such as caimans, turtles, etc., and if we are lucky, we'll have a chance to observe the giant otter, one of the rainforest ́s most spectacular animals.After several hours, we will head back to the lodge to enjoy lunch together.

MONKEY ISLAND

In the afternoon, accompanied by our specialized guide, we will visit Monkey Island, a unique place in the heart of Madre de Dios River, five minutes away from the lodge. During the hike, we will observe extraordinary landscapes, with an exuberant flora.

JUNE 19: PUERTO MALDONADO - CUSCO

Depending on the flight time, you will cruise back to the town of Puerto Maldonado and from there fly on a short flight to the city of Cusco in the heart of the Andes.

Upon landing at the airport, you will be met by the private driver, who will take you to your hotel located in the heart of Cusco's Old Town. Then go for a walk in the city's most special neighborhood, the San Blas Quarter (San Blas) . It is one of the pleasant places in the city for aimless wandering or recreation.

Many artists live in the district and have a bohemian atmosphere, and unlike other areas of the city, it is not yet flooded with tourists. It's nice to walk around the borough's alleys, be impressed with the architecture, enter the galleries and designer shops, sit in the many cafes and restaurants and go out in the evening to perform at one of the neighborhood's pubs.

JUNE 20: AWANA KANCHA - PISAC

Start your day with a visit to Awana Kancha, a cultural center where you can observe Andean camelids up close, including llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos. Here, you'll learn about their characteristics, the importance of their fiber in local crafts, and the traditional weaving process.

Next, continue to Pisac, an impressive archaeological site perched on a mountaintop, featuring agricultural terraces, temples, and breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley. Explore its Incan structures while discovering its history and significance.

Afterward, head down to the town of Pisac, known for its vibrant artisan market, where you can stroll through colorful stalls filled with textiles, ceramics, and handmade jewelry. After lunch we will head back to Cusco so you can enjoy the parades that take place everyday around the city.

In the end we will be returned to the hotel.

JUNE 21: CHINCHERO, MARAS MORAY & MISMINAY COMMUNITY

After breakfast, we will embark on a fascinating Experience-Based Tourism journey in Mullacas Misminay. Our adventure begins with a visit to the ancient Inca town of Chinchero, where we will explore a traditional textile center and the remarkable Inca ruins that showcase the town’s rich history.

Continuing with our itinerary, we will head to the archaeological site of Moray, an impressive set of circular terraces believed to have been an agricultural laboratory for the Incas. Finally, we will visit the stunning Maras salt pools, a breathtaking network of salt evaporation ponds nestled in the Sacred Valley.

After those tours, we will go to the community of Mullacas Misminay where you will be welcome with music, dances, and their typical clothes to take us to the small houses of this nice village the lunch going to be the ancestral food the Pachamanca it is a typical dish based on beef, chicken with ingredients such as huacatay, chili, cumin, pepper and other spices, as well as additional original Andean products such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, cooked only on the basis of preheated stones which makes the taste different from the typical food of the city.

Next, head to our hotel in the valley.

JUNE 22: OLLANTAYTAMBO, TRAIN to AGUAS CALIENTES

Start your day by exploring the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo, a place full of history and charm. Known as the “Living Inca Town,” you’ll walk through its narrow cobblestone streets, surrounded by ancient Inca buildings still inhabited by locals, preserving their ancestral traditions.

Visit the Archaeological Site of Ollantaytambo, a majestic fortress that once served as a military, religious, and agricultural center of the Inca Empire. Marvel at its imposing terraces, designed for agriculture and defense, and climb to the Sun Temple, where you’ll enjoy a spectacular view of the Sacred Valley and the surrounding mountains. Your expert guide will share fascinating stories about Inca architecture, battles against Spanish conquerors, and the mysteries of this sacred city.

Next head to the Ollantaytambo train station to board a comfortable panoramic train to Aguas Calientes while enjoying a delicious box lunch while admiring the spectacular landscapes of the Sacred Valley, with its winding rivers, towering mountains, and lush vegetation.

The train features panoramic windows, allowing you to fully enjoy a unique visual experience as you get closer to the majestic Machu Picchu.

Arrive in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town) in the afternoon, where you can explore the charming village, visit the local craft market, or relax in the nearby hot springs before preparing for your visit to Machu Picchu the next day.

JUNE 23: MACHU PICCHU

Machu Picchu, an awe-inspiring testament to the Inca civilization, was unveiled to the Western world in 1911 by the British explorer Hiram Bingham. This ancient city, nestled amidst the Peruvian Andes, is a marvel of architectural ingenuity and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Today after breakfast, we will take a bus that ascends a zigzagging road to the entrance of the citadel. The intricate stonework, advanced agricultural terraces, and astronomical alignments showcase the Inca's mastery of engineering and their deep connection to the natural world.

Machu Picchu served as a sanctuary for Inca royalty, a hub of political power, a center of religious devotion, and a crucial administrative center. Its strategic location, perched high on a mountain ridge and shrouded by cloud forests, added to its mystique and protected it from outside threats.

After our guided tour, we will return to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to the Sacred Valley. The train passes through unique Andean landscapes, offering one last glimpse of the region's beauty. Finally, upon arrival in the valley, a bus will be waiting to transfer visitors back to Cusco, concluding a magical and unforgettable experience.

JUNE 24: INTI RAYMI 

The Festival of the Sun “ Inti Raymi” is an ancient Incan festival that celebrates the Sun God, Inti, and marks the winter solstice in the Southern Hemisphere. It was one of the most important ceremonies in the Inca Empire, symbolizing gratitude for the sun's energy and the hope for a good harvest.

This morning, we will head to Sacsayhuamán archeological site where the main event takes place, and where rituals that honor the sun are performed, just as in ancient times.

JUNE 25: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN VINICUNCA 

Today, you have two options: you can stay in Cusco, enjoying its bohemian atmosphere and relaxing in one of its cozy cafes (lunch not included), or you can take the trek to Rainbow Mountain. You just need to let us know a day in advance.

Start your adventure early in the morning with a drive from Cusco to the base of Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). Along the way, you will pass through picturesque Andean landscapes, lush valleys, and small traditional villages.

Once at the starting point, you will begin a 1.5 to 2-hour hike to the summit of the mountain, which sits at an altitude of over 5,000 meters (16,400 feet) above sea level. As you ascend, you’ll take in the breathtaking beauty of the Andes, spot llamas and alpacas, and marvel at the naturally vibrant colors that make Vinicunca a one-of-a-kind spectacle.

At the summit, enjoy stunning panoramic views of the multicolored mountain and its breathtaking surroundings. After some time to rest, take photos, and soak in the scenery, we will begin the descent and head back to Cusco, stopping along the way for a well-deserved lunch.

This tour is an unforgettable experience that allows you to connect with nature and the stunning geography of Peru.

JUNE 26: THE SUN ROUTE “LA RUTA DEL SOL” 

The Ruta del Sol is a scenic and cultural bus journey between Cusco and Puno, offering travelers the opportunity to explore historical and natural attractions along the way. This route showcases the rich Inca, pre-Inca, and colonial heritage of the Andean region, making the trip an unforgettable experience.

The journey includes stops at archaeological sites, colonial churches, breathtaking landscapes, and cultural museums, providing insights into Peru’s history and traditions. Highlights include the Andahuaylillas Church, the Raqchi Temple, the La Raya Pass, and the Pukara Museum.

Upon arriving at the bus station in the charming town of Puno, which lies on the shores of Lake Titicaca, transfer to the designated hotel in downtown.

JUNE 27: FLOATING ISLAND & TAQUILE

Today you will prepare to discover a more authentic side of Lake Titicaca. Early in the morning you will meet our private guide and take a "fast boat" across Puno Bay and towards Taquile Island.

About an hour and a half later, you will reach a secluded section of the southern island of Taquile, where you can explore the less touristy side of Taquile, and enjoy a virgin sandy beach, there you will have plenty of time to relax and feel the tranquility of Titicaca.Then take a walk through the Pre-Inca Trail with spectacular views leading you to a family of local weavers to learn about the art of textiles and their symbolism declared by UNESCO as a world heritage.

Then, leave Taquile and make your way to Luquina, a picturesque community on the Chucuito Peninsula where you will enjoy a special lunch.Relax a little on the Luquina coastline and then head back to Puno. Along the way, stop in the tourist islands, but still interesting, Uros' floats. Here, locals will be happy to show you a little of their local culture and strange island.

JUNE 28: SILLUSTANI & FLIGHT FROM JULIACA TO LIMA

Depending on the flight time, our driver will meet you and head towards the airport in the city of Juliaca. On the way, you will stop to visit the Sillustani burial site, instead of buried tribes and royalty occupied by the Inca people and is still used to this day for a hidden ritual site.

After the visit you will arrive at the airport and fly to Lima and connect to your international flight back to the country.
